The Lund Collection Debuts in the Cotswolds This Spring

The Lund Collection is a newly conceived one‑bedroom private cottage — the first property designed, owned and operated by Bergman Design House in the Cotswolds. Launching this spring, the cottage is located a short drive from Chipping Norton and Great Tew, and offers a calm retreat in the English countryside.

Decorated by a husband-and-wife design team, the cottage blends a curated selection of original artworks and antiques with new pieces from the studio’s Black Berg Collection. Highlights include a deep-soaking bathtub, an 18th‑century marriage armoire repurposed as a drinks cabinet, and 17th‑century Chinese ceramics, each chosen to add depth and character to the interiors.

Drawing inspiration from the four seasons, the scheme weaves seasonal tones throughout the home — from warm autumnal oranges to fresh summer greens — so every room evokes a sense of place and time. The project also engaged skilled UK textile and furniture makers, including Upholstory, Robert Kime, Tori Murphy and de Le Cuona, bringing artisanal craftsmanship and bespoke detailing to the cottage.

Marie Soliman, founder and creative director of Bergman Design House, describes the design process as a careful treasure hunt. “What’s been so enjoyable about this project has been the ‘treasure hunt’ for the most incredible antique and vintage finds, all of which tell their own unique story while highlighting the beauty of the newer items next to them,” she said. “It’s an approach I like to call ‘organized chaos’ — creating a space that is both functional and timeless, with a playful hint of surprise.”

Guests at The Lund Collection can enjoy a fully stocked bar, a hand‑curated welcome basket that includes wines selected by Albin, and a premium Swedish Moccamaster coffee machine. Nightly rates start at approximately $800 per night.
