Taipei MICE Events: Venues, Conferences & Trade Shows 2026

Taipei has become an increasingly popular destination for meetings and events. The city’s global profile surged when Taipei 101 topped the skyline as the world’s tallest building in 2004, and the tower remains a major draw for planners and delegates alike.

For memorable meetings, consider sky-high venues within Taipei 101. The VIP elevator whisks guests to the 85th floor, home to Shin Yeh @ Taipei 101, a 210-seat restaurant with five private rooms serving Taiwanese cuisine. The 86th floor is occupied by Ding Xian 101, a full-floor restaurant with an expansive banquet room often called “weddings above the clouds.” With Art Deco details, high ceilings and crystal chandeliers, the space is well suited for luxurious private events and offers multiple rooms for intimate dinners.

On the 36th floor, the Taipei 101 International Conference Center is tailored to small and mid-size gatherings. It provides four multifunctional meeting rooms that adapt to six layout options—from theater-style configurations to banquet arrangements combining multiple rooms. The center boasts panoramic city views, modern AV and IT support, and professional event services. Higher up, The Executive Centre on the 57th floor offers a comfortable meeting room for about 16 attendees and equally impressive vistas of the city.

Located near the Taiwan Stock Exchange and within walking distance of many multinational headquarters, Taipei 101 anchors a dense business district. For planners seeking venues and suppliers, Meet Taiwan maintains a comprehensive database listing hundreds of local providers and accommodations.

“Taipei is diverse, international and safe,” says Angel Chen, deputy commissioner at the Department of Information and Tourism, Taipei City Government. “Located at the center of East Asia, Taipei is very accessible by air, and retail prices are often lower than in other Asian markets. These factors make the city attractive for international trade shows.”

That attractiveness is reflected in the growth of the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions) sector. In 2012 the city reported significant revenue from meetings-related activities, and hotel capacity has expanded to meet rising demand with thousands of rooms across hundreds of properties.

Chen notes that Taipei offers planners a wide variety of venues and added incentives to encourage events. The city’s MICE services include free consultation and one-stop professional support, plus customized assistance such as tickets to cultural attractions, tourist passes and local amenities for visiting delegates.

Hotels are actively positioning themselves to capture the growing business traveler segment. According to Elaine Chin, director of sales and marketing at Taipei Marriott Hotel, demand for MICE services is rising rapidly. The Taipei Marriott, which opened with 320 rooms as the brand’s first property in Taiwan, features a large, flexible convention center capable of hosting up to 1,200 participants in a single venue and accommodating up to 2,000 guests across multiple configurations. Its 13,600-square-foot Grand Ballroom is one of the largest pillarless ballrooms among international star-category hotels in Taiwan.

The Xinyi district, a prestigious commercial and shopping area sometimes compared to Manhattan, is home to major venues such as the Taipei World Trade Center and the Taipei International Convention Center (TICC). TICC provides a range of meeting rooms and large banquet halls, including a 10,000-square-foot space for receptions of up to 1,200 guests, and regularly hosts hundreds of conferences and meetings each year.

Linked closely to Xinyi’s trade and convention facilities, Grand Hyatt Taipei recently completed a major renovation and offers a wide selection of meeting spaces. With 853 rooms and multiple function rooms, the hotel can host intimate board meetings as well as large-scale conferences for up to 1,200 delegates. The property’s redesign aimed to create memorable, visually striking spaces for both events and overnight guests.

The W Taipei, known for its contemporary design and vibrant atmosphere, also attracts business travelers and event planners. Overlooking Taipei 101, the hotel provides expansive event space with high ceilings, dramatic lighting and modern amenities, appealing to planners seeking a stylish urban setting.

For venues with historic character, Zhongshan District offers unique options such as the SPOT–Taipei Film House. This renovated two-story building—once a residence linked to the U.S. diplomatic presence—now hosts multiple small meeting rooms and event areas. Outdoor Chambers Park provides a tranquil green setting for intimate receptions or networking gatherings, while indoor spaces include a small cinema, arts hall and café suitable for various meeting styles.

Large-scale outdoor and exhibition events have also found a home in Taipei. The Taipei Expo Park in Zhongshan District, which hosted the highly attended 2010 Taipei International Flora Expo, now offers multiple themed pavilions and flexible exhibition spaces suitable for international events and showcases.

With dynamic design, growing infrastructure and a convenient location in East Asia, Taipei continues to strengthen its reputation as a world-class destination for conferences and events. The city’s evolving mix of modern towers, renovated landmarks and purpose-built venues provides planners with diverse options for memorable, well-supported gatherings.
