SWISS Launches New Zurich–New York Route: Flights, Schedule & Fares

Swiss International Air Lines will begin new nonstop daily service between Zurich (ZRH) and Kyiv (KBP) starting October 27. The route will be operated with Airbus A320 aircraft configured with 152 seats.

“Alongside our new long-haul destination of Singapore, we’re also actively investing in our European network, despite the currently adverse business and economic conditions,” said SWISS CEO Harry Hohmeister. “Kyiv is a market with large and steadily growing demand, and we aim to meet this through our new daily service.”

The new Zurich–Kyiv flight expands SWISS’s presence in Eastern Europe. The carrier already serves seven other destinations in the region: Warsaw (WAW), Prague (PRG), Budapest (BUD), Belgrade (BEG), Bucharest (OTP), Moscow (DME) and St. Petersburg (LED).

This daily connection offers convenient options for both business and leisure travelers, with Zurich continuing to act as a key European hub. Passengers can expect the standard on-board services associated with the A320 fleet, and an additional daily frequency supports growing demand for direct links between Switzerland and Ukraine.

By introducing this service, SWISS signals a continued commitment to strengthening its European network even as economic conditions remain challenging. The carrier’s strategy combines targeted long-haul expansion with reinforcement of regional connections to provide more travel choices across its route map.
