Summer Stay at Barcelona’s Iconic Majestic Hotel & Spa

Since opening in 1918, Barcelona’s 5-star Majestic Hotel & Spa has been a landmark of the city’s architecture, society and lifestyle, welcoming notable guests such as Ernest Hemingway and poet Antonio Machado.

“As one of Barcelona’s most iconic hotels with more than 100 years of history, we feel it is our duty to showcase the very best of the city while offering guests experiences beyond their expectations,” said Pascal Billard, general manager of Majestic Hotel & Spa Barcelona. “From Michelin-star dining to a 1,000-piece art collection that includes works by Antoni Tàpies and Josep Guinovart, we remain committed to an emblematic role in Barcelona’s lifestyle. Majestic Experiences takes guests from the hotel into the city, creating memorable indulgences and a deeper appreciation for where the magic lies.”

The hotel has 271 elegant rooms across deluxe to executive categories, including 45 suites that offer impressive views over Barcelona. The unique Majestic Royal Penthouse features an outdoor jacuzzi and two terraces overlooking Passeig de Gràcia and the Sagrada Família.

La Dolce Vitae, the hotel’s rooftop restaurant and bar, is a highlight. Framing the plunge pool, this rooftop is known as one of Europe’s best vantage points for views of Barcelona’s landmarks, including the Sagrada Família, Casa Batlló and Torre Glòries. Summer à la carte menus showcase Spanish and Mediterranean dishes, and guests can enjoy a selection of desserts while taking in the city skyline.

After a day exploring Barcelona, guests often visit the top-floor spa. In collaboration with Natura Bissé, named World’s Best Spa Brand in 2020, the spa offers hydrotherapy circuits, signature treatments and personalized massages that combine therapeutic benefits with natural, revitalizing and detoxifying products and equipment.

On the hotel’s first floor, Michelin-level gastronomy is led by Chef Nandu Jubany at Restaurant SOLC. The restaurant sources many ingredients from its own kitchen garden in Maresme and from local producers for meat and fish. SOLC emphasizes immediacy, freshness, origin and respect, celebrating Catalan culinary traditions with seasonal, Mediterranean dishes prepared from high-quality ingredients.

The Majestic Royal Penthouse is Barcelona’s largest penthouse, offering panoramic views of Passeig de Gràcia and the Sagrada Família. Awarded Best Hotel Suite in the World at the 20th Prix Villégiature in 2022, the 5,000-square-foot suite includes a dining room, living room, three bedrooms and two terraces with whirlpools. Guests enjoy a fully stocked Maxibar customized to preferences, dedicated butler and chauffeur services, and eight high-end Bang & Olufsen televisions throughout the suite.
