Are warmer destinations calling? You’re in luck: Duke’s East, the newly opened extension of Natural Selection’s Duke’s Camp in Botswana’s Okavango Delta, is an ideal reason to book a trip. Tucked into a secluded northern section of the delta and positioned beside a lively channel frequented by a variety of wildlife, the intimate four-tent camp offers a stylish private option or a complementary stay to Duke’s Camp.

Each spacious canvas safari suite sits on raised wooden decks among leadwood and ebony trees, offering elevated, treetop views over the delta. The vintage-inspired interiors combine classic craftsmanship with comfort: hand-carved four-poster beds, mahogany sideboards, Persian rugs, tasteful fabrics, timber floors and richly patterned kilims create a warm, refined atmosphere.
Every tent includes a generous en-suite bathroom appointed with brass fittings, an outdoor shower and a private viewing deck. Leather campaign chairs on each deck invite relaxed wildlife watching, where you may spot elephants, red lechwe and other species wandering into view.

The camp’s main mess exudes refined safari style from a bygone era, with carved tables, antique rugs and cabinets displaying African memorabilia and collectibles. Multicourse meals celebrate the flavors of the bush, served with attention to detail on crystal and silver. Evenings are relaxed and sociable, with guests gathering around a communal fire pit to share stories and unwind before returning to the privacy and comfort of their tents.
