Sixt rent a car, the global vehicle rental company with more than 2,000 locations across 100+ countries, has opened its newly expanded facility at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.
This Phoenix opening is Sixt’s fifth new or upgraded U.S. location this year. Known for offering “affordable luxury” vehicles, Sixt is currently the No. 4 car rental brand in the United States. The company has been operating in the U.S. since 2011 and reported $366 million in revenue in 2017.
“At Sixt, we succeed by focusing on the small details and delivering consistent service,” said Daniel Florence, COO of Sixt North America. “When we enter a market, we start modestly, work hard, and grow from there. We began in Phoenix with just two counters; today we’re expanding to five, and we expect to double that number again in the coming years. We’re also increasing the size of our premium fleet to meet rising demand from travelers and local customers. This expanded location will enhance the customer experience at PHX.”
Earlier this year, Sixt opened a new site at San Antonio International Airport, upgraded its facility at Tampa International Airport, and launched a new location at Fort Myers International Airport.
Across the United States, Sixt now employs more than 750 people and operates over 53 rental locations in states including California, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Washington, Texas, Connecticut, New Jersey, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Nevada, Arizona, and Massachusetts.
