Serafina, the well-known New York City restaurant group, opened Serafina Beach Hotel in San Juan, Puerto Rico, in March 2018. Located in the Condado district near Old San Juan, this property is the island’s first major hotel debut of the year.
The hotel offers 96 guest rooms featuring a contemporary, beach-inspired design and views of either the ocean or Laguna del Condado. Local artwork appears throughout the property, lending a distinct sense of place. In addition to standard rooms, the hotel includes several penthouses and two ocean terrace suites that blend indoor and outdoor living. These premium accommodations come with enhanced amenities such as welcome bottles of Prosecco, farewell gifts and the hotel’s curated “start the evening” amuse.
Dining options are led by the signature restaurant aMare, which focuses on Italian seafood infused with Puerto Rican ingredients and flavors. Between the lobby and pool deck, PiñaCo operates as an espresso bar in the morning—serving light breakfasts and pressed juices—and transforms into a Piña Colada bar in the evening. An infinity pool with cabanas and an outdoor pool bar called By the Pool completes the resort-style food and beverage offerings.
For meetings and events, the hotel provides 9,487 square feet of combined indoor and outdoor space. The venues accommodate a wide range of functions, from boardroom meetings to larger gatherings like product launches, fashion shows, photoshoots and private dinners. Options include intimate boardrooms, a ballroom and an outdoor terrace.
Guests can take advantage of a luxury concierge service that arranges cultural and adventure experiences across the island. Offerings include guided kayak trips through bioluminescent bays, private helicopter tours, rainforest zip-lining and chartered snorkeling excursions, among other curated activities.
Room rates begin at $225 per night during the low season and from $345 per night in the high season.
