Saudia Launches New Los Angeles (LAX) Connection

Saudia Arabian Airlines is preparing to launch non-stop service between Saudi Arabia and Los Angeles (LAX). Service from Riyadh (RUH) and Jeddah (JED) to Los Angeles will begin on March 31.

The new route provides passengers departing Los Angeles with smooth onward connections through Jeddah to destinations across Asia, Africa and the wider Middle East, improving international connectivity for travelers to and from the west coast.

Saudia will operate the route using Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, with three weekly flights on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Flights will arrive and depart from the Tom Bradley International Terminal (TBIT) at Los Angeles International Airport, the airport’s modern international hub that features expanded retail, dining and gate facilities as part of a major redevelopment.

To mark the launch, members of Saudia’s Alfursan frequent flyer program will earn double miles on eligible travel between March 31 and May 31, offering extra value for early travelers on the new service.

The direct connection strengthens links between Saudi Arabia and the United States, supporting business travel, tourism and cultural exchange. Travelers on the Los Angeles–Jeddah–Riyadh network can expect full-service onboard amenities consistent with Saudia’s international product on the 777-300ER, along with the opportunity to connect to a broad regional network beyond Jeddah.

With the addition of this non-stop option, passengers on the U.S. west coast gain another competitive choice for travel to the Middle East and onward to Asia and Africa. The schedule—three flights per week—adds capacity while allowing Saudia to align timings with its wider international network for efficient transfers.

Passengers booking the new route should check baggage allowances, visa requirements and current travel advisories for their destinations. Frequent flyers can register for Alfursan or review their account to ensure they benefit from the double miles promotion during the introductory period.

As service begins, travelers and travel industry partners will watch for further network updates from Saudia, including potential schedule adjustments and future frequency increases based on demand. The route launch is part of Saudia’s broader strategy to expand its long-haul network and provide more direct connectivity between Saudi Arabia and key global markets.
