Announced Feb. 20, Westin Hotels & Resorts is the new owner of the 100-room Le Rivage Hotel in Sacramento, California. Situated on the Sacramento River about four miles south of downtown and the Old Sacramento historic district, the property will be rebranded as The Westin Sacramento and will undergo approximately $3.2 million in renovations ahead of its planned April debut.
The hotel’s location on the river offers guests scenic views and convenient access to both downtown attractions and nearby historic sites. The 100-room property includes 7,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event space suitable for conferences, weddings, and corporate gatherings. Amenities at the hotel will include an on-site restaurant, an outdoor pool, a spa and a fitness center, all of which are expected to be refreshed as part of the renovation program.
The rebranding to The Westin Sacramento aligns the property with the Westin portfolio, bringing the brand’s focus on wellness, elevated service and upgraded guest rooms. Renovation efforts are slated to modernize public areas and guest accommodations, improve meeting facilities and enhance dining and leisure spaces to meet Westin standards.
With its riverfront setting and proximity to downtown Sacramento, the refreshed Westin Sacramento aims to attract both business and leisure travelers seeking a comfortable, full-service hotel experience. The expanded and updated meeting space will support local and regional events, while the upgraded amenities will cater to guests looking for relaxation and fitness options during their stay.
As the hotel prepares to reopen under the Westin flag, guests can expect refreshed interiors, enhanced services and a renewed focus on comfort and well-being. The April debut will mark the next chapter for the property as it transitions from Le Rivage Hotel to The Westin Sacramento.
