Raffles Europejski Warsaw reopens this year after a comprehensive renovation that honors its long history while introducing contemporary comforts. The restored landmark in Poland’s capital blends 160 years of heritage with refined modern amenities.
First opened in 1857, the Europejski quickly became a creative hub and one of the most prestigious hotels in the Russian Empire. Severely damaged during World War II, the hotel reopened in 1962 and has now undergone an extensive restoration that respects its past. The redesign incorporates Polish art throughout the property and offers curated art and history tours that highlight the hotel’s cultural significance and the city’s artistic legacy.
Located steps from Warsaw’s main attractions and premier shopping, the hotel features 106 guestrooms and suites, each starting at 463 square feet. Rooms are furnished with bespoke pieces and carefully curated artwork, creating an atmosphere that balances historic elegance with contemporary comfort. As a signature service, Raffles butlers are available to all guests, marking the first time this level of personalized service has been offered in Poland.
Dining and leisure options have been thoughtfully reimagined. Europejski Grill offers a seasonal menu and outdoor terrace seating; the Long Bar, a Raffles staple, serves cocktails alongside Asian-inspired small plates; the Humidor—Warsaw’s only cigar lounge—combines fine cigars with an array of drinks and desserts. The Pavilion provides a refined setting for afternoon tea, while Lourse Warszawa evokes the hotel’s original bakery with a selection of breads and pastries. The property also plans to host Warsaw’s largest spa, providing extensive wellness facilities for guests seeking relaxation and rejuvenation.
“The romance of yesteryear will return with the reopening of Raffles Europejski Warsaw, as it takes its rightful place in the heart of one of Europe’s most artistic and culturally rich cities,” said Albert Herrera, senior vice president of global product partnerships, Virtuoso. “This beloved local treasure will recapture the creativity of its 19th-century splendor and celebrate that influential era in a thoroughly modern and luxurious way. Virtuoso travelers will enjoy Warsaw all the more with this beautifully revitalized hotel choice from a world-renowned brand.”
Virtuoso is offering exclusive benefits for travelers booking the newly reopened hotel. Perks include upgrades subject to availability, round-trip private airport transfers in a BMW limousine, daily breakfast for two, a $100 hotel credit, a complimentary art and history tour, and WiFi. These added amenities are designed to enhance the guest experience and showcase both the hotel’s heritage and Warsaw’s cultural attractions.
