Qatar Airways Introduces All-Business-Class Flights Between Doha and London

Qatar Airways will introduce a new daily all-business-class service between its Doha hub (DOH) and London Heathrow (LHR) starting in May. This move marks the first time a carrier from the Middle East has committed to an all-premium route on this market. The airline plans to operate the service beginning May 15 using Airbus A319 aircraft configured with 40 business-class seats arranged 2-2, offering a focused premium experience for travelers between the two cities.

The A319 cabins for this route are equipped with wide seats that convert into fully flat beds, designed for comfort on daytime and overnight flights. Passengers will also have access to Qatar Airways’ Oryx entertainment system, which features an extensive selection of programming and more than 900 entertainment options, including movies, TV shows, music and games. The airline highlights the enhanced onboard experience paired with premium ground services to create a seamless journey for business and high-end leisure travelers.

Adding this all-business-class frequency increases Qatar Airways’ weekly services on the Doha–London route from 35 to 42 flights. The additional daily departure complements the carrier’s existing schedule and is intended to meet strong demand on what the airline describes as one of its most popular international routes.

Alongside the aircraft product and inflight entertainment, travelers on the new service will benefit from upgraded lounge access in both London and Doha. Qatar Airways says customers can take advantage of the new Qatar Airways premium lounge at London Heathrow’s Terminal 4, as well as the Premium Terminal facilities at Hamad International Airport in Doha. These lounges are positioned to provide a comfortable and productive environment before departure or during connections.

Akbar Al Baker, Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Airways, commented that introducing an all-business-class service on the Doha–London Heathrow route is a natural fit given the route’s importance. He emphasized the airline’s focus on delivering a premium end-to-end experience for customers, from lounge amenities and ground services to the onboard cabin and entertainment offerings.

The new service is intended to attract business travelers who prioritize privacy, space and a consistent premium product, as well as leisure passengers seeking an elevated travel experience. With the A319 configured exclusively for business class, the offering aims to deliver a quieter, more personalized cabin atmosphere than mixed-class aircraft typically provide.

Qatar Airways’ decision to launch this dedicated premium route reflects broader trends in aviation where airlines tailor specific services to high-demand city pairs. By concentrating on a single cabin class, the carrier can optimize cabin service standards, luggage allowances and ancillary services to suit premium travelers’ expectations. The route expansion also strengthens connectivity between Doha and London, supporting both corporate travel and upscale tourism flows between the two cities.

Travelers interested in the new all-business-class flights should check Qatar Airways’ official channels for the latest schedule, booking availability and lounge access details. As with any new service launch, seats are likely to be in high demand, so passengers planning travel on the route are advised to book early to secure preferred departure times and cabin locations.
