Omni Homestead Resort & Spa Adds In-House Physical Therapist

The Omni Homestead Resort & Spa is expanding its wellness offerings for 2025 with a new in-house physical therapist and a specialized therapeutic service uncommon at resorts. Jonathan Eaton, PT, joins the resort to provide Fascial Counterstrain (FCS), an advanced hands-on approach focused on relieving pain and restoring mobility.

Eaton, who has more than two decades of experience in physical therapy, explained that the Homestead’s natural surroundings and historic focus on restorative care make it an ideal setting for this type of work. He said, “The Homestead’s legacy of healing through nature and its deep connection to water make it the ideal environment to practice this kind of therapeutic work. I’m honored to join a resort with such a rich wellness history and to offer guests access to a modality that can create real, lasting change in their bodies.”

Fascial Counterstrain is a precise, gentle technique that targets reflexive tissue spasms influencing muscular, neural, and vascular systems. Practitioners use carefully applied positioning and pressure to reduce sensitivity in affected tissues, which can lead to improved mobility and pain reduction. At the Homestead, FCS will be offered through the spa and is intended to assist guests with a range of concerns, including chronic back pain, migraines, and certain digestive issues, while supporting overall functional balance.

Mark Spadoni, managing director of The Omni Homestead Resort & Spa, emphasized how Eaton’s expertise supports the resort’s wellness vision. “Jonathan’s role and expertise signifies an exciting chapter in our wellness program here at the Homestead,” Spadoni said. “His new services reinforce our vision to position the resort as a leader in destination wellness that transcends beyond the spa while also meeting guests where they are in terms of their own wellness journey, so they leave feeling truly restored.”

The resort’s 2025 wellness program emphasizes deeper healing and a broader range of therapeutic modalities and experiences designed to support lasting wellbeing. In addition to adding FCS, the Homestead is updating its Serenity Garden and other spaces to create environments that promote relaxation, recovery, and sustained health improvements for guests seeking restorative retreats.

Guests interested in booking specialized physical therapy sessions or learning more about the resort’s expanded wellness programming can inquire through the spa. With experienced practitioners like Eaton on staff, The Omni Homestead aims to offer destination-level care that blends traditional spa services with medically informed therapeutic options to enhance guest outcomes and long-term wellbeing.
