Oasis of the Seas European Cruise: Itineraries, Dates & Tips

Royal Caribbean’sOasis of the Seas will visit Europe for the first time in 2014. The ship, which carries up to 5,400 passengers, is scheduled for a short autumn season that includes two transatlantic crossings and three sailings within European waters.

The transatlantic itineraries include a 12-night eastbound voyage that departs Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale on Sept. 1 and arrives in Barcelona, and a 13-night westbound crossing that sets sail from Rotterdam, The Netherlands, on Oct. 14 en route to Florida. These crossings provide guests the opportunity to experience the ship’s extensive onboard offerings while crossing between North America and Europe.

During its European mini-season, Oasis of the Seas will operate three regional cruises. Two of those are five-night, round-trip Western Mediterranean sailings departing from Barcelona, ideal for shorter vacations focused on sun, culture and Mediterranean ports. The third is a seven-night cruise that departs Barcelona and terminates in Rotterdam, calling in Malaga and Vigo, Spain, along the way.

These itineraries give travelers a mix of crossing and regional options: shorter Western Mediterranean itineraries for those seeking quick escapes and longer transatlantic voyages for passengers looking to combine a grand sea voyage with European destinations. With its first European deployment, Oasis of the Seas expands Royal Caribbean’s seasonal offerings and provides new choices for passengers wishing to explore Mediterranean and Northern European ports aboard one of the line’s largest ships.
