Almanac Hotels is a new luxury hospitality brand that blends historic architecture with contemporary design. Each property occupies a landmark building thoughtfully converted into a hotel, so every Almanac location is unique. The group emphasizes local culture and history by preserving original architectural details while introducing modern comforts and refined interiors.

The first property, Almanac Barcelona, is scheduled to open in summer 2017. Barcelona practice OAB Office of Architecture led the redevelopment, merging two buildings from different eras into a single cohesive hotel. Ideally positioned on the Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes, the hotel takes cues from its setting and the original landmark structure in its design.

Almanac Barcelona will offer 92 rooms and suites alongside the Línia Mediterranean brasserie and bar. Guests will also find a panoramic rooftop terrace with a pool and a relaxed lounge area. The design palette highlights natural textures and materials, antique mirrors and Ibiza marble to create a warm, elegant atmosphere that reflects the building’s character.

Following Barcelona, Almanac Vienna is planned to open in 2019 on the Ringstrasse, one of Europe’s most celebrated boulevards. The Vienna property will feature 122 rooms along with a refined spa and dedicated business and conference facilities, catering to both leisure and corporate travelers.

Additional Almanac hotels are planned for Prague, Budapest and Zagreb, each respecting the local context and architectural heritage while delivering contemporary luxury.
