New 2019 Direct Flight Route: London to Charleston, SC

British Airways will introduce a new spring/summer route that makes it easier for South Carolinians to fly to London for a short getaway, while giving Londoners direct access to Charleston’s warm hospitality and historic charm.

Starting April 4, 2019, British Airways will operate a twice-weekly service between London Heathrow (LHR) and Charleston International Airport (CHS). Flights from Heathrow will depart on Thursdays and Sundays at 5:20 p.m. local time, arriving in Charleston the same evening at 9:20 p.m.

Return flights from Charleston will depart at 10:50 a.m. and arrive in London at 11:50 a.m. the following day, offering convenient daytime connections for travelers heading back to the UK.

Fare options on the new route range from approximately $750 for a round-trip economy ticket to around $2,450 for a business-class seat, providing choices for leisure and business travelers alike.

The Charleston service is part of a broader expansion by British Airways to U.S. cities for the 2019 summer season. Alongside this new link, the airline added routes from London to Nashville (BNA), New Orleans (MSY), and Pittsburgh (PIT), bringing its total number of U.S. destinations for the season to 29.
