Nantucket’s The Martin by Greydon House Reveals Reimagined Interiors

Located in the heart of Nantucket, the small island off the coast of Massachusetts, The Martin by Greydon House is a thoughtfully restored, 15-room inn set within a historic home. Built in 1803 for Nathaniel and Hepsabeth Sherman, the building became a guesthouse in the 1920s and has welcomed visitors ever since with warm hospitality and thoughtful service.

Lead designer and partner Stephanie Hall of Nantucket Looms drew inspiration from the island’s natural beauty and storied past to create a sophisticated coastal aesthetic. The color palette echoes the hues of Nantucket’s sky, sea, and moors—muted blues, soft greens, and gentle greys—that combine to give the property a cozy yet contemporary feel.

Each room and suite is designed to give guests a clear sense of place through nautical accents and carefully chosen details. Textiles feature Seigaiha-inspired wave patterns, mirrors combine brass and rope elements, and white linen lampshades add a crisp, coastal touch. For guests seeking elevated accommodations, the Studio King Suite, Junior King Suite, and Deluxe King room each include a private balcony.

“We are eager to welcome guests into The Martin following its thoughtful redesign,” said Garison Beale, general manager of Greydon Hotel Group. “This reimagination reflects our ongoing commitment to delivering exceptional experiences for our guests.”
