Atlanta Marriott Northwest at Galleria completed a major $16 million renovation in 2015 that refreshed guest areas, dining and meeting spaces. Conveniently located near the Cobb Galleria Convention Center and many of the region’s largest employers, the hotel’s updates were designed to enhance comfort, functionality and a modern aesthetic for both business and leisure travelers.
The remodel introduced a new Greatroom-style lobby that creates a welcoming atmosphere with flexible seating arrangements, soft music and carefully controlled lighting. This space gives guests comfortable places to work, relax or hold informal meetings, while also providing easy access to other hotel amenities.
Dining options were significantly upgraded. The Marketplace now offers a full buffet and a la carte choices for breakfast, making it easy for guests to start the day. In addition, the hotel added a signature restaurant called Rocks, which focuses on regionally inspired dishes and handcrafted cocktails, giving visitors a taste of local flavors in a contemporary setting.
Guestrooms were completely revitalized to reflect contemporary expectations for comfort and productivity. Renovated rooms feature warm sitting areas and plush carpeting, larger work desks with modern ergonomic chairs, convenient electrical plug-in panels for charging devices, and 32-inch flat-panel HDTVs. These enhancements aim to make stays more comfortable for those working remotely, attending nearby events, or visiting Atlanta for leisure.
Public spaces and service offerings were also refreshed, including a redesigned concierge lounge that blends style with practicality. The overall project sought to align the hotel with current Marriott standards while highlighting Southern hospitality and attentive service.
