Madrid LGBTQ+ Pride Trade Fair: Exhibitors, Events & Tickets

International tourism fair FITUR 2019 will feature FITUR GAY (LGBT+), with prominent tourist destinations such as Thailand, Portugal and New York City participating. This edition highlights the “50th Anniversary of Stonewall New York,” reflecting the event’s commitment to LGBTQ+ history and culture.

Organized in collaboration with LGBT Diversity Consulting International, the showcase will take place at IFEMA in Madrid, Spain, from January 23 to 27. FITUR GAY brings together travel industry professionals, destinations, tour operators and service providers focused on LGBTQ+ travelers, creating a dedicated space for networking, product launches and industry discussions.

Recognized as one of the most inclusive trade fairs of its kind, the event attracts exhibitors and attendees from around the world. For the first time, New York City will be widely represented at the fair as the host of World Pride 2019, and Thailand Tourism will also join the program for the first time. Portugal will attend to promote its Proud Portugal campaign, among other national and regional tourism boards promoting LGBTQ+ friendly offerings.

The program includes panels and presentations by more than 60 speakers, covering topics such as inclusive destination marketing, queer travel safety, accessible services and best practices for welcoming LGBTQ+ visitors. Daytime sessions offer professional development and insight for tourism professionals, while evenings feature entertainment with live singers, DJs and musical performances to celebrate community and culture.

For those who cannot attend in person, media partners will provide daily coverage. GAYLES TV will air footage from featured segments and interviews, while ENLACE GAY will stream highlights and selected events from the trade fair each day, enabling a wider audience to follow announcements, trends and on-stage discussions.

FITUR GAY 2019 aims to strengthen connections between the travel industry and LGBTQ+ communities worldwide, promote inclusive tourism products, and highlight destinations and services that support diversity and equal access in tourism.
