Lotte New York Palace has opened a new signature restaurant, VILLARD, situated inside the hotel’s historic Villard Mansion, a former neo-Italian Renaissance residence. The restaurant features two distinct dining rooms: the ornate Gold Room and Bar and the light-filled Gallery Room. The Gold Room and Bar is richly decorated with gilt ceilings, walls and wainscoting, and includes a suspended balcony at one end. In contrast, the Gallery Room offers a more contemporary atmosphere with abundant natural light.
VILLARD serves a power breakfast starting at 6:30 a.m. on weekdays and 7:00 a.m. on weekends. The menu focuses on New American cuisine influenced by European café traditions, using local and house-made ingredients. Signature dishes include brioche pudding French toast with bourbon-spiked maple syrup, dry-aged New York strip steak and eggs, and spinach and gruyère popovers. The menu blends classical technique with international flavors under the direction of Oscar Granados, who brings both formal training and global influences to the kitchen.
“This is an exciting new chapter for Lotte New York Palace, and I look forward to bringing VILLARD to the forefront of the New York City breakfast and brunch scene. The breakfast room at VILLARD will be a unique and welcomed addition to the Midtown East neighborhood for hotel guests, local residents and business executives as well,” said Martin Mariano, director of food and beverage at Lotte New York Palace.
The restaurant seats 100 and is open Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
