London City Airport Unveils New Business Lounge for Travelers

London City Airport opened a new business lounge on March 20, located within the airport’s Private Jet Centre. The lounge sits in a dedicated area about a five-minute drive from the main terminal, and guests are provided a complimentary taxi shuttle between the lounge and terminal.

Access is available to passengers of any airline for a fee of £35 per person. The lounge offers a self-service buffet featuring cold dishes, light snacks and a selection of alcoholic beverages.

The space is designed with hand-crafted furniture, a flat-screen TV, multiple charging points and complimentary WiFi. Seating capacity is limited to around 30 passengers, creating a quiet, comfortable environment for working or relaxing before departure.

“Our priority is our passengers and the team will always go the extra mile to ensure they have what they need to keep their airport experience memorable and stress-free,” said Chris Clayton, Private Jet Centre customer service manager at London City Airport.

Passengers should check any hold luggage before entering the lounge and must present a valid boarding pass for access. Travellers are advised to allow at least 30 minutes to return to the terminal via the taxi transfer and to pass through security in good time for their flight.

Business travel remains a significant part of London City Airport’s profile: last year, about 52 percent of the airport’s 4.5 million passengers were travelling for business.
