To mark World Food Day (Oct. 16), Banyan Tree and Angsana resorts are presenting “Stay for Good: Feeding Communities Together.”
From Oct. 13–19, participating resorts invite guests to join hands-on efforts to prepare and serve meals for nearby communities in Thailand, China, the Indian Ocean region, the Middle East, Mexico and other locations. The program supports local schools and orphanages and provides food assistance to people with disabilities, older adults and families in need. Guests also gain insight into local life through interactive cooking classes and cultural exchanges that highlight regional ingredients and culinary traditions.
“We have always believed that tourism should stimulate positive, holistic development in our host destinations,” said Abid Butt, CEO of Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts. “Our long-term vision of doing good and doing well is central to our business. The Stay for Good: Feeding Communities Together program gives guests a variety of meaningful activities to choose from, each delivering tangible benefits and enabling authentic engagement with local communities.”
