Iberia has introduced a new Airbus A330 into service on the Boston (BOS)–Madrid (MAD) route, with operations beginning March 18.
The aircraft showcases Iberia’s refreshed long-haul cabin design, featuring 36 business-class seats and 242 economy seats. Business class now offers wider seats that recline into fully flat beds nearly 80 inches long. Each seat is enclosed in its own module for increased privacy and direct aisle access. Ambient lighting in the business cabin is adjustable to suit different phases of the flight, helping to enhance passenger comfort and facilitate rest.
Travelers in Iberia’s Business Plus cabin benefit from upgraded entertainment and connectivity. A 15.5-inch screen provides a tablet-sized display for movies, shows and other media. In addition, a 4.2-inch touch remote with a virtual keyboard allows passengers to control the entertainment system, place calls, send text messages and access other onboard features.
Economy class has also been modernized with a robust in-flight entertainment setup. Each seat is equipped with a 9-inch touch screen and offers connectivity options including a port for Apple devices and a USB socket. Universal power outlets are available throughout the cabin, making it easier for passengers to charge laptops, phones and other electronics during the flight.
Iberia plans to expand connectivity further by rolling out WiFi internet and SMS capabilities for all long-haul passengers in the near future, improving onboard communication and online access across its transatlantic network.
