Hyatt Regency Reopens in Guadalajara: What Travelers Need to Know

Hyatt Hotels Corp. has announced its return to Guadalajara after more than 17 years, with plans to open a Hyatt Regency in the upscale Zapopan neighborhood in the city’s northwest. Scheduled to open in late 2016, Hyatt Regency Andares Guadalajara will offer 220 guestrooms and suites and will be integrated into the Andares Shopping Mall, a mixed-use development featuring high-end retail, two office towers and luxury condominiums.

The new property will provide two restaurants, a lounge, spa facilities, a fitness center and an indoor pool. Business and event travelers will benefit from approximately 29,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event space. With this opening, the hotel will become the fifth Hyatt Regency in Mexico, joining existing locations in Mexico City, Mérida, Villahermosa and Cancún.
