The hotel is extremely convenient—about 60 yards from the international arrivals hall via a covered walkway—so I reached the property quickly and checked in without delay.
Guest Quarters: My room was a standard guestroom with a king-sized bed. The layout offered a comfortable workspace with a built-in desk and minibar; the desk chair was especially comfortable for leaning back while working on a laptop. The bathroom was spacious, featuring an oversized sink and a combined bathtub and shower. A small chair and table by the window provided a view of the airport. Soundproofing was effective—I noticed only minimal aircraft noise the following morning.
Services/Amenities: I had stayed here previously for a Finnair branding event, so I knew the hotel is practical and well run. The property offers a pleasant evening bar scene at Bar Gui and a satisfying breakfast at Restaurant Gui, both focusing on quality food with Finnish touches. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available in the lobby; although the lobby network did not initially work with my Mac, the front desk provided a free pass to the hotel’s paid system, which resolved the issue. The bar staff managed a busy evening efficiently and were attentive throughout.
The room included standard Hilton bath amenities by Peter Thomas Roth—body wash, soap, conditioner and shampoo—that felt high quality.
The Experience: Not every trip involves staying at an airport hotel, but when you arrive late and have an early meeting just steps away, this location makes a lot of sense. Everything at the Hilton Helsinki Airport functions smoothly. It isn’t a luxury palace, but it delivers a comfortable, pleasant stay and excellent convenience for travelers.
