The highly anticipated GT Tested Reader Survey has even more to celebrate in 2024. This year marks the 20th anniversary of the GT Tested Reader Survey awards, and several winning brands reached major milestones for long-term excellence and consistent service.

Global Traveler awards Quint Status to brands that have won the same category for five consecutive years; five recipients earned this recognition in 2024. Hall of Fame status celebrates 10 consecutive years of winning, while Crystal awards honor brands that have been top in their category for 15 straight years.

Global Traveler is pleased to introduce its newest and most prestigious distinction: Platinum Status. This honor recognizes brands that have won their category for 20 consecutive years. Three brands achieved Platinum Status in 2024, joining an elite group that exemplifies sustained leadership and outstanding performance in travel.

Asiana Airlines earned two Platinum awards: Best Airline for Onboard Service and Best Airline for Flight Attendants. Since 2003, readers have consistently selected Asiana for these categories in recognition of its exceptional in-flight service, passenger comfort initiatives and meticulous attention to detail.

Chicago O’Hare International Airport secured its 20th consecutive award as Best Airport in North America. From clean facilities to varied dining options and amenities for families, O’Hare continues to impress readers with ongoing improvements that enhance the traveler experience.

Named Best Overall Frequent-Flyer Program for 20 straight years, MileagePlus continues to reward loyal customers with valuable perks and a wide network of partners for earning and redeeming miles. Many GT Tested voters travel frequently—averaging around 18 domestic flights annually—so their continued support reflects strong trust in United’s frequent-flyer offerings.

Joining the Global Traveler Hall of Fame this year, Air India received its 10th consecutive award for Best Airline in Central/South Asia & India. The carrier is currently undergoing a brand refresh as India expands its travel infrastructure and invests in major airport upgrades.

Global Traveler also honors five Quint Status winners this year. Air Canada received its fifth consecutive award for Best Airline in North America. Air Canada recently added a pre-meal bar service for premium-economy passengers on flights longer than two hours within North America, an enhancement that complements its consistent service quality and helped it reach this milestone.

For the fifth year running, the Alaska Airlines Visa Signature Card from Bank of America won Best Frequent-Flyer Affinity Credit Card Benefits. Cardmembers continue to benefit from perks on flight bookings, in-flight purchases and select retail partners.

China Airlines marked its fifth consecutive win as Best Airline in North Asia. The Taiwanese carrier offers service to major U.S. gateways including Los Angeles (LAX), Ontario (ONT), San Francisco (SFO), New York (JFK) and Vancouver (YVR), among others.
