Celebrating 175 of the U.K.’s finest contemporary designers and luxury brands, Walpole British Luxury presents Crafted: Makers of the Exceptional. Running from April 3–5, the exhibition brings together iconic names from British design and craftsmanship, including Alexander McQueen, Theo Fennell, Wedgwood and Mulberry, among others.
The showcase highlights both established houses and emerging makers. Visitors will find couture and ready-to-wear collections, bespoke jewelry, fine china and glass, and carefully crafted home accessories. Standout works on display include architectural textiles and wall pieces by Ptolemy Mann, hand-blown glass from Rothschild & Bickers, intricate jewelry by Jessica Poole, and precision-crafted quartz bowls by Ben Gaskell.
Curated by designer Peter Ting and presented in association with Vacheron Constantin, the event also features alumni from the 2013 edition who will be available to meet guests and discuss their creations. The programme blends demonstrations, discussions and curated displays to showcase the range and depth of contemporary British luxury and artisanal skill.
The exhibition takes place at the Royal Academy of Arts in Burlington Gardens, offering an elegant setting that complements the craftsmanship on show. Attendees can expect opportunities to learn about making processes, discover new designers, and view signature pieces from established brands.
Crafted: Makers of the Exceptional is designed to celebrate British creativity, craftsmanship and innovation across fashion, jewelry, ceramics, glass and interiors. With an emphasis on quality and authenticity, the exhibition underscores the enduring appeal of British-made luxury.
