Emirates has introduced a new non-stop service between Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) and Dubai International Airport (DXB) beginning June 1. Previously, the carrier’s connection on this market included a daily Newark–Dubai service that routed via Athens.
The new route will be operated with an Emirates Boeing 777-300ER configured with eight first-class suites, 42 business-class seats and 306 economy seats. The schedule has departures from Dubai at 3:00 a.m., arriving in Newark at 9:00 a.m. Return flights depart Newark at 11:50 a.m. and arrive in Dubai at 8:20 a.m. the following day.
Emirates is also adjusting other U.S. operations. From March 25, flights between Dubai and New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) will be reduced to three daily frequencies. Those three daily options will include two non-stop services and one flight operating via Milan.
Additionally, starting March 25 Emirates plans to add two weekly frequencies each to Fort Lauderdale (FLL) and Orlando (MCO), expanding its presence in Florida.
Tickets for the new Newark–Dubai non-stop service are on sale now. As part of a promotional offer to mark the addition of a second daily flight from Newark, sale fares are currently available. Economy fares from Newark to Dubai start at $849, while business-class fares for routes such as Newark to Mumbai (BOM) begin at $3,999.
Fares are subject to availability and the promotional sale ends on Jan. 31. The sale fares are valid for travel through Dec. 2.
