Emirates has become the first international carrier to introduce a first-class product in Norway by launching new nonstop service to Oslo. The airline now operates daily flights between Dubai International Airport and Oslo Airport, Gardermoen, using Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.
Emirates’ new route creates direct connections from Norway to more than 49 destinations across the Far East, Australasia, West Asia, the Indian Ocean and the Middle East. These links are expected to support Norway’s key industries—oil and gas, maritime, fishing and telecommunications—by facilitating business travel, trade and tourism.
“Norway’s booming oil, gas, maritime, fishing and telecom sectors will all derive substantial benefits from new links provided by Emirates to over 49 destinations in the Far East and Australasia, West Asia, Indian Ocean and Middle East, resulting in a spectrum of new economic activity,” said Thierry Antinori, executive vice president at Emirates. He noted that customers can also access the airline’s flagship A380 on routes that connect Oslo via Dubai to 14 destinations across the Far East, Middle East, Australasia and the Indian Ocean.
The daily service enhances connectivity for both leisure and corporate travelers, offering a seamless transfer experience through Dubai International Airport, which serves as a major hub between Europe and Asia-Pacific regions. With a mix of premium and economy cabins onboard the 777-300ER, the route provides options for passengers seeking luxurious first-class suites as well as value-driven seating.
Beyond passenger benefits, the route is positioned to strengthen cargo links between Norway and Emirates’ extensive freighter network, enabling more efficient movement of goods across global markets. Improved air links can help exporters and importers meet tight delivery schedules and expand market reach.
By introducing its first-class offering in Norway and expanding daily nonstop service, Emirates aims to create new travel opportunities, stimulate business ties and support the broader economy through enhanced international connectivity.
