Emirates is expanding its Scandinavian network by launching a new daily service to Oslo (OSL), Norway, beginning September 2. The Dubai (DXB)-Oslo route will be operated with Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, configured with eight first class seats, 42 business class seats and 310 economy seats. Oslo becomes Emirates’ third Scandinavian destination, alongside Copenhagen (CPH) and Stockholm (ARN).
Emirates expects the new connection to support stronger links between Norway and fast-growing markets across the Middle East, Far East, West Asia and Africa. Tim Clark, President of Emirates, highlighted Norway’s resilient economy and diverse industries — including oil and gas, fishing, telecommunications and maritime sectors — as promising foundations for increased trade, tourism and investment that the route aims to facilitate.
The daily service will provide both business and leisure travelers with direct access to Emirates’ global hub in Dubai, improving onward connections to a wide range of international destinations. The airline’s 777-300ER offers a mix of premium and economy seating to meet demand from different passenger segments while supporting cargo and commercial ties between Norway and Emirates’ global network.
Oslo’s inclusion strengthens Emirates’ presence in Northern Europe and underscores the carrier’s strategy to connect regional markets with worldwide destinations via Dubai. The new route is intended to boost bilateral links and create more travel options for passengers and freight moving between Norway and key markets in Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
Passengers traveling on the route will be able to access Emirates’ suite of in-flight services and amenities, as well as seamless transfers at Dubai’s hub. The addition of Oslo reflects continued airline expansion and a focus on opening new gateways that respond to evolving demand for international travel and commerce.
