Starwood Hotels & Resorts has introduced its Element brand to Europe with the opening of Element Frankfurt Airport, the brand’s first hotel outside North America. Situated only minutes from the airport, the property features 133 extended-stay studios and one-bedroom suites designed for longer visits. Guest accommodations include modular furnishings, large work desks with open shelving, fully equipped energy-efficient kitchens and spa-inspired bathrooms.
The hotel provides a range of on-site amenities tailored to extended-stay travelers: a 24-hour fitness center, flexible meeting space, a business center and around-the-clock laundry facilities. These services support both business and leisure guests who need practical, comfortable spaces for work, rest and longer stays.
“Our stylish Element brand is a great fit for the vibrant city of Frankfurt, providing global visitors with an eco-smart, extended-stay hotel experience designed as an intimate recharge space for both work and play,” said Brian McGuinness, senior vice president of specialty select brands at Starwood. “We developed this hotel’s design around the needs of longer-stay guests, offering spacious studio-style rooms and additional kitchen facilities, making it a true home away from home close to the busy international airport.”
Launched in 2008, the Element brand emphasizes sustainable design, efficient operations and thoughtful amenities for guests staying multiple nights. Starwood planned to expand the brand rapidly: at the time of the Frankfurt opening, Element’s portfolio was expected to grow from 15 hotels to about 30 hotels by the end of 2017.
