The world’s largest bar, as certified by Guinness World Records, has opened at Jumeirah Village Circle in Dubai following a major expansion. Spanning 32,000 square feet—roughly half the size of a soccer field—the newly extended venue redefines what a modern pub can be.

McCafferty’s JVC is now recognized not only as the world’s largest bar but also as the largest Irish bar in existence. Located on the entire rooftop of Circle Mall, the venue mixes traditional Irish character with Dubai’s taste for grand experiences. The interior is filled with authentic pub artifacts and antiques—from vintage red Massey Ferguson tractors to original pub signs brought over from Ireland—creating a distinctive atmosphere that honors Irish hospitality.
The bar’s amenities are designed to appeal to a wide audience. An expansive outdoor terrace hosts events and gatherings, while more than 148 beers are available on tap, including Guinness. For sports fans there’s a high-definition LED screen, and social spaces include pool and table tennis tables along with dedicated community seating. The layout balances lively entertainment areas with comfortable spots for conversation and relaxation.

Antoinette Drumm, managing director for Diageo MENA, highlighted the connection between the brand and the venue’s scale: “Guinness has always been about bringing people together, and there’s something truly magical about seeing that spirit celebrated on such a big scale. McCafferty’s in Dubai doesn’t just raise the bar, it reflects the city’s unstoppable spirit—a place that keeps reaching new heights and setting new records. We couldn’t be happier to have the world’s largest Irish bar serving the world’s most iconic stout.”
This opening represents McCafferty’s fifth location in the United Arab Emirates and the 18th venue in its global portfolio. The project underscores Dubai’s continuing appetite for large-scale hospitality concepts and demonstrates how themed, experiential venues can attract both local patrons and international visitors seeking memorable social spaces.
