Discover Luxury at The Beaumont London Hotel

If every building tells a story, The Beaumont in London reads like an entire library of charming chapters conceived by hotelier Jeremy King. King created the fictional persona Jimmy Beaumont — a figure inspired by the glamour of the Roaring ’20s and the Gatsby-era elegance of New York — to give the pre-war Mayfair hotel a coherent narrative. Opened in 2014 as a collaboration between King and partner Chris Corbin of Corbin & King, the hotel balances grand scale with intimate detail across its rooms, suites and public areas. With exemplary service and meticulous design, The Beaumont earned AA Hotel of the Year London in 2016, a notable achievement for a property so recently opened.

The building itself dates from 1926 and carries a listed status in the center of Mayfair. It also features a striking architectural statement:

Among its 50 rooms and 23 suites is ROOM, an inhabitable sculpture integrated into the hotel’s façade and created by sculptor Antony Gormley. From the exterior it reads as a large cubed figure; inside, the one-bedroom suite is lined in dark fumed oak and includes a dramatic white marble bathroom. Other rooms are appointed with period-inspired materials and finishes: mohair velvet seating, coffered ceilings, deep casement windows, bronze Art Deco door handles on lacquered wardrobes, rosewood surfaces, chrome accents and eau-de-nil glass tiles in the generous bathrooms. Throughout the hotel, Richmond International’s refined European Art Deco design threads through spaces such as the guest-only Cub Room, the timber-paneled American Bar and The Colony Grill Room with its stained-glass roof lights and original murals. The bi-level Colony Grill Room also features blood-red leather banquettes and 1930s bentwood, studded seating.

Original artworks, vintage photography and selected antiques — including period consoles, tables and credenzas — add an authentic vintage character to the interiors. Contemporary conveniences are also present: complimentary WiFi is available throughout the hotel. Business guests can book The Lotus Room boardroom, which includes a private dining area, and then enjoy cocktails in the American Bar. Arrival can be arranged in a chauffeur-driven courtesy Daimler for added refinement.

The hotel’s spa continues the restrained, elegant tone with black-and-white marble, delicate mosaics, a circular plunge pool, two treatment rooms, a relaxation area and a warm marble slab for unwinding. Traditional Hammam therapies are offered, including an exfoliation with Savon Noir, a rhassoul clay wrap and options for a steam bath or a restorative massage using organic Argan oil. Additional treatments include an osteopathy consultation and session with Bhart Shemar, consisting of an hour-long consultation followed by a 45-minute hands-on treatment.

From its inspired narrative and period detailing to contemporary service and wellness offerings, The Beaumont delivers a layered experience that celebrates both the glamour of a bygone era and the comforts expected by today’s travelers.
