Delta Updates In-Flight Snack Menu: What Travelers Should Know

Delta Air Lines will introduce new complimentary on-board snacks beginning in June. The airline is adding three options—Squirrel Brand Almonds, Pretzel Perfection Olive Oil & Sea Salt Pretzels, and KIND Healthy Grains Oats & Honey with Toasted Coconut bars—alongside its existing Biscoff cookies.

These additions expand choices for passengers with dietary needs: all three new items are gluten-free. The KIND bar, Squirrel Brand Almonds, and Biscoff cookies are also non-GMO, giving customers more transparency and healthier options while flying.

“Knowing our customers are mindful about how they fuel their bodies when they travel, we’re pleased to offer a new selection of snacks, inclusive of healthy options,” said Allison Ausband, senior vice president – in-flight service at Delta Air Lines. “With 180 million customers a year, we want to keep the variety going onboard Delta.”

Delta selected the new snacks after soliciting feedback from both customers and employees. The airline considered well-known and emerging brands by monitoring social media and identifying the products passengers talk about most online.

The snack rollout applies to flights longer than 250 miles. On North America flights of 251–599 miles, customers will be offered a choice between Delta’s signature Biscoff cookies or Pretzel Perfection pretzels. On flights exceeding 600 miles, passengers will be able to choose from all four snack options.

This update reflects a broader trend among carriers to expand complimentary offerings and accommodate dietary preferences and restrictions. By adding gluten-free and non-GMO items, Delta aims to make onboard snacking more inclusive and satisfying for a wide range of travelers.
