Delta Launches New Seattle to Chicago O’Hare Flights in June

Delta Air Lines has added three daily flights between Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) and Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD), expanding its network from the Pacific Northwest hub.

The new service, which begins June 19 and is already available for purchase, means Delta will now operate nonstop service to all of the top 10 destinations from Seattle. This growth marks the airline’s fifth consecutive year of expansion at its Seattle hub.

“We have built a robust network from Seattle to key United States West, Midwest and East destinations over the last few years, complementing service to Europe, Asia and Latin America,” said John Caldwell, vice president, Seattle, Delta Air Lines. “Adding Chicago fulfills a key part of our vision for the Pacific Northwest and provides our customers access to all of the most important destinations from Seattle.”

Flights on the Seattle–Chicago route will use Airbus A319 aircraft. The cabin includes high-resolution entertainment screens with complimentary content, USB power ports at seats, large overhead bins, ambient lighting and updated lavatories for a more comfortable travel experience.

Earlier this year, Delta announced seven additional nonstop destinations from Seattle: Austin, Texas (AUS); Eugene, Oregon (EUG); Lihue, Hawai‘i (LIH); Milwaukee, Wisconsin (MKE); Nashville, Tennessee (BNA); Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina (RDU); and Redmond, Oregon (RDM). With the seasonal additions and expansions, Delta will offer more than 160 peak-day flights to 50 destinations from its Seattle hub this summer.

From Seattle, customers can connect across Delta’s global network, with strong coverage of West Coast cities, expanded access to the East Coast and Midwest via hub connections, new and increased nonstop options, and direct service to major Hawaiian, Alaskan and Canadian destinations.
