Delta Air Lines Debuts Premium Wine Experience for BusinessElite Passengers

Delta Air Lines has launched a curated wine list exclusively for BusinessElite passengers on flights between London (LHR) and the United States. The collection includes two white and two red wines selected by Delta’s master sommelier Andrea Robinson from well-regarded wineries in France, Italy and California.

The white offerings on the new menu are G de Château Guiraud, Bordeaux, France, 2013, and Beni di Batasiolo Langhe Chardonnay, Serbato, Italy, 2013. The red selections include Decoy Pinot Noir, Sonoma County, California, 2012, and Château Cantemerle, Bordeaux, France, 2011.

“Customers on Delta’s London routes appreciate fine wines, and I’ve chosen two favorites from Bordeaux alongside outstanding picks from Italy and California to introduce this exclusive program,” said Robinson. “We pick wines that maintain their character at 30,000 feet, so you can expect them to taste as enjoyable in the air as they do on the ground.”

The BusinessElite wine list is the result of a careful, annual selection process. Robinson and her team review more than 1,600 submissions from producers worldwide to identify bottles that perform well in-flight and complement the onboard dining experience.

By focusing on established producers and bottles known for balanced structure and clarity of flavor, the program aims to provide a consistent, premium tasting experience for BusinessElite customers traveling between London and the U.S. The shortlist emphasizes wines that are resilient to conditions at altitude—such as reduced humidity and altered taste perception—so passengers can enjoy reliable quality with their meals.

This initiative reflects Delta’s attention to enhancing long-haul service with thoughtfully chosen food and beverage offerings tailored to passenger preferences. BusinessElite travelers can now look forward to a refined selection of whites and reds chosen specifically to suit the unique environment of air travel while representing notable wine regions.
