Clear Channel Brings Enhanced Entertainment to New Orleans Airport

Travelers passing through Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) will now find expanded entertainment options. MSY is the first airport in the United States to deploy the Clear Channel Airport television network, offering curated programming designed for people on the move.

Clear Channel Airport presents shortened, tightly edited “minisodes” of popular television and news shows, providing quick, engaging content suited to the limited time travelers often have. Programming partners include a wide range of networks and publishers such as Access Hollywood, Bravo, Game Show Network, HGTV, ABC, CBS, Dow Jones, Freshwire, FOX Business, NBC, Wall Street Journal, Weather Channel, Golf Channel, IndyCar, LPGA, MLB, NBC Sports, PGA Tour and Universal Sports.

“Consumers’ growing desire for fast, compact video information and entertainment is particularly keen at airports,” said Toby Sturek, president of Clear Channel Airport. The minisode format delivers highlights and key moments from longer programs so viewers can catch news, sports, and entertainment updates without committing to full-length episodes.

By tailoring content to short attention spans and the transient nature of airport audiences, the network aims to enhance the passenger experience in terminals, providing a varied alternative to traditional airport media like static displays and ambient music.

The rollout at MSY represents the first step in a broader expansion plan. Clear Channel Airport intends to bring the service to additional airports in the near future, increasing access to quick-format video content for travelers nationwide.
