Cathay Pacific is bringing an authentic Chinese dining experience to 38,000 feet. The airline partnered with The Langham, Hong Kong to create an in‑flight menu inspired by the offerings of T’ang Court, the hotel’s Michelin‑starred Chinese restaurant.
The limited‑time menu, available through the end of October, is offered to passengers traveling in first, business and premium economy on most Cathay Pacific flights departing from Hong Kong. It features 16 dishes developed by Chef Kwong Wai‑keung, Executive Chef, Chinese, at The Langham, Hong Kong, showcasing traditional flavors adapted for in‑flight dining.
“We strive to provide the best in‑flight products and services to our passengers, and the food we serve on our aircraft is an important element of our service offering,” said James Ginns, General Manager In‑Flight Services, Cathay Pacific. “Our passengers appreciate variety and enjoy the opportunity to sample exciting new dishes.”
The collaboration reflects Cathay Pacific’s focus on elevating meal quality and giving travelers a taste of Hong Kong’s culinary scene while airborne. By working with a celebrated local restaurant, the airline brings refined, regional cuisine to its international routes, allowing customers to experience signature Chinese dishes without leaving their seats.
Passengers flying in the eligible cabins can expect thoughtfully prepared choices that balance authentic ingredients with the practical considerations of in‑flight service. The selection includes a mix of classic and contemporary items crafted to maintain flavor and texture at altitude, while aligning with Cathay Pacific’s commitment to exceptional service.
For travelers who enjoy trying new cuisine during their journey, this partnership provides a memorable dining option that highlights Hong Kong’s rich culinary heritage. The menu is positioned as a seasonal enhancement to Cathay Pacific’s regular offerings, giving frequent flyers and occasional travelers alike a chance to sample creations from a Michelin‑starred kitchen.
