British Airways is introducing a range of refreshed products and services for its First cabins this month.
The updated dining experience features new à la carte menu items that focus on fresh, seasonal ingredients sourced from the UK. Meals will be presented on tableware designed by British designer William Edwards, while beverages will be served in Dartington glassware.
Passengers can also enjoy a newly added afternoon tea service, offering a selection of finger sandwiches, pastries, freshly baked scones and a variety of tea infusions. In addition to dining enhancements, First customers will receive loungewear from the luxury British brand Temperley London.
Amenity kits receive a redesign centered on Temperley’s “Star” motif and include skincare items from Elemis such as a face mist, moisturizer, eye cream, deodorant and lip balm. Bedding has been upgraded with 400-thread-count sheets and a foam-fiber mattress topper, complemented by a new day blanket and a bolster cushion to improve sleep comfort on long flights.
Carolina Martinoli, director of brand and customer experience at British Airways, said that these changes are part of the airline’s broader investment in the customer experience: “As part of our £6.5 billion investment for customers, we’re changing parts of the travel experience in our First cabin. Our teams of designers, chefs and customer service experts have carefully thought through the details we know matter most to our customers.”
She added that, in the airline’s centenary year, British Airways selected prominent British designers and manufacturers to help ensure that traveling in First is a memorable experience. The combined updates to dining, amenities and bedding aim to elevate onboard comfort while highlighting British craftsmanship and ingredients.
