British Airways and Alaska Airlines have expanded their partnership with a new codeshare agreement that complements their long-standing frequent-flyer relationship.
Effective for travel beginning November 23, the arrangement allows customers to book connecting Alaska Airlines flights directly through ba.com to multiple destinations across the U.S. West Coast and Hawai’i. The routes included in the codeshare are:
- From Seattle (SEA) to Honolulu (HNL), Kona (KOA) and Kahului (OGG)
- From Seattle, San Francisco (SFO) and San Jose (SJC) to Portland (PDX)
- From Seattle to Salt Lake City (SLC), Boise (BOI), Fairbanks (FAI) and Spokane (GEG)
- From San Jose to Santa Ana (SNA)
Alex Cruz, Chief Executive of British Airways, noted that the two airlines have been frequent-flyer programme partners for more than 15 years and that the new codeshare strengthens their ties. The agreement simplifies connections across Alaska’s network—from booking through to the flight itself—and opens up easy access to Hawaiian beaches, Salt Lake City’s ski areas and the growing tech and business destinations in California.
The expanded cooperation not only increases leisure travel options but also improves access to U.S. cities for business travelers, offering more direct and convenient connections from the UK.
