Avianca: Connecting Latin America by Air

Welcome to the Avianca experience

Latin America’s leading airlines, now integrated under Avianca Holdings S.A., have united under a single commercial brand and are rolling out new visual standards across the organization. This refreshed identity honors the long operational histories of Avianca and TACA Airlines and reflects their shared vision of connecting the Americas through a modern, cohesive airline network.

The updated Avianca brand is already visible across more than 160 aircraft, 14,000 onboard seats, 214 ticket offices and facilities at around 100 airports. It also appears in VIP lounges across 25 countries and in corporate offices throughout the Americas and Europe. This visual transformation marks an important turning point in the airline’s history and supports a broader redesign of the passenger flight experience.

Committed to delivering a strong and consistent product, Avianca aims to be the preferred partner for both business and leisure travelers across the region by combining service quality with an improved onboard environment.

A new flight experience

Avianca’s travel product, supported by a modern fleet of new-generation aircraft, has been reimagined to provide a superior in-flight experience. The redesign focuses on service excellence delivered with authentic Latin American warmth and hospitality.

Key elements of the refreshed experience include an eco-friendlier fleet, comfortable leather seating, individual onboard entertainment systems, complimentary food and beverage offerings, mood lighting and intuitive mobile apps. These features are integrated into a carefully designed passenger journey intended to enhance comfort, convenience and enjoyment from check-in to arrival.

U.S. and Toronto access

Latin America offers vibrant cultures, diverse histories and dynamic economies. Avianca connects passengers from 11 U.S. cities — Miami, Fort Lauderdale, New York, Newark, Orlando, Washington, D.C., Chicago, Los Angeles, Dallas, Houston and San Francisco — as well as Toronto, providing straightforward access to the region.

From the United States and Canada, Avianca operates direct flights to a number of major Latin American destinations, including Bogotá, Cali, Medellín and Cartagena in Colombia; Lima, Peru; Guatemala City, Guatemala; San Salvador, El Salvador; Managua, Nicaragua; and San Pedro Sula and Tegucigalpa in Honduras. Through strategic hubs in Bogotá, San Salvador and Lima, travelers can connect onward to the broader Avianca network across the Americas.

The airline’s international route map also includes services to key European cities, such as Barcelona and Madrid, and it has expanded transatlantic service with flights to London at Heathrow Airport.

Modern VIP Lounges

Avianca has invested in modern VIP lounges to enhance the airport experience for elite and premium travelers. A 21,000-square-foot lounge opened at Bogotá’s Eldorado Airport to serve LifeMiles Silver, Gold and Diamond Elite members, Star Alliance Gold members, Priority Pass members and Business Class passengers. A new VIP lounge in Rionegro serves Medellín, and the airline continues to refresh lounges in cities including Cali, Barranquilla, Cartagena, San Salvador and Santiago as part of its ongoing service improvement plan.

A new Business Class

Avianca’s upgraded Business Class cabin has been developed to increase passenger comfort and elevate onboard service across aircraft types such as the Airbus A318, A319, A320, A330 and Embraer E190. The cabin redesign mirrors the airline’s new brand image and includes leather seats, updated carpeting and refined seat track covers. A soft divider between seats and a 40-inch pitch enhance privacy and legroom, improving the overall travel experience. Existing aircraft have been retrofitted and arriving aircraft are delivered with these enhancements.

LifeMiles

LifeMiles is the unified loyalty program created from the integration of the best practices of both legacy airlines. Built after studying successful international loyalty programs and incorporating customer feedback, LifeMiles has grown to more than five million members. The program has also earned recognition from travelers through its Freddie Award wins for redemption ability, distinguishing itself among loyalty programs in the region.

Star Alliance

Avianca joined Star Alliance on June 21, 2012, becoming part of the world’s first truly global airline alliance. Membership provides passengers with expanded travel options and benefits, including access to hundreds of partner airlines, thousands of destinations and more than a thousand VIP lounges worldwide, along with enhanced frequent-flyer program advantages.
