American Express has completed its acquisition of the restaurant reservation platform Resy. To mark the occasion, American Express is offering cardholders a set of limited-time travel and dining perks for the fall.
Through Sept. 30, eligible card members can earn Membership Rewards points when they make and keep a reservation on Resy. Members will receive 500 Membership Rewards points for each qualifying booking, up to three bookings per cardholder.
Starting Aug. 19, card members receive 72 hours of early access to reservations at restaurants taking part in New York City’s Menu Week, giving them priority booking before reservations open to the general public.
Card members also get 48 hours of early access to ticket sales for Resy’s fall and winter events, including Resy Presents Secret Special with Danny Bowien & Friends and The Women of Food, London, allowing more time to secure spots at these curated experiences.
“We are excited to have the Resy team as part of the American Express family,” said Chris Cracchiolo, senior vice president, global loyalty and benefits at American Express. “These initial collaborations demonstrate how we’ll combine our assets and capabilities—such as the Membership Rewards program—with Resy’s roster of restaurants and dining experiences to create meaningful value and access for both diners and restaurants.”
“American Express has long been influential in the dining world, and we know its card members care deeply about exceptional food,” said Ben Leventhal, co-founder and CEO of Resy. “We’re thrilled to begin offering elevated perks and priority access to American Express card members on Resy’s platform.”
