American Airlines Debuts Upgraded DFW Flagship Lounge

American Airlines travelers at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport will soon have an upgraded lounge experience as the carrier prepares to open a new Flagship Lounge and unveil renovations to its Admirals Club in Terminal D.

The new Flagship Lounge spans approximately 23,000 square feet and will be available to passengers traveling in Flagship First and Flagship Business. Designed to accommodate around 350 guests, the lounge will offer a mix of quiet rest areas and lounge-style seating, along with amenities such as showers and wireless charging stations to support both relaxation and productivity.

Flagship First passengers will have access to an elevated sit-down dining option: the Flagship First Dining room. Seating about 54 guests, the restaurant highlights Texas-inspired dishes, including double-smoked beef brisket, slow-braised pork shoulder and Texas pecan pie. Beverage offerings feature selections by the airline’s master sommelier Desmond Echavarrie, Krug Champagne, signature cocktails and a curated selection of craft beers.

Other eligible travelers will find a broader casual dining selection that includes Texas brisket in adobo sauce, Korean-style chicken wings and sushi. In addition, live cooking stations will prepare items such as made-to-order omelets and Asian-style pancakes. Premium wines, Champagne and local craft beer options will also be available throughout the lounge.

Alongside the Flagship Lounge, American Airlines has refreshed the Admirals Club in Terminal D. The renovated space features a contemporary design, more power outlets, additional shower facilities and expanded relaxation areas. Food and beverage offerings have been updated as well, introducing lighter choices like hummus, fresh vegetables and soups, plus an interactive “make-your-own guacamole” station. The Admirals Club also showcases regional craft beers from Dallas, Fort Worth and Houston and an exclusive wine label selected by sommelier Bobby Stuckey.

Together, the new Flagship Lounge and the renovated Admirals Club aim to enhance comfort and dining for travelers passing through Terminal D, combining elevated dining experiences and practical amenities to better serve a range of passenger needs.
