More than 50 airports are taking part in this year’s Airport Restaurant Month. Throughout May, nearly 100 participating airport dining venues showcase their culinary skills in a celebration modeled on city restaurant weeks.
HMSHost created Airport Restaurant Month to highlight how far airport dining has evolved from the days of greasy grab-and-go fries and basic pizza.
“Award-winning chefs sharing culinary creations during restaurant week is always something diners look forward to,” said Atousa Ghoreichi, vice president of marketing at HMSHost. “HMSHost’s Airport Restaurant Month was created to bring that same excitement to guests dining in select airports — but extended for an entire month.”
The HMSHost corporate executive chef and culinary team developed special menus for the event. Travelers can expect dishes such as pan-roasted Atlantic salmon with a cool cucumber sauce, marinated grilled chicken breast with honey butter and whole grain mustard, and chimichurri skirt steak finished with a mushroom glaze. Each offering includes an entrée paired with a selection of side dishes.
