Aircraft Business: How to Start and Grow an Aviation Company

La Compagnie, a new all-business-class airline, has opened reservations for its nonstop service between New York (EWR) and Paris (CDG) beginning July 22.

The carrier will maintain its point-to-point route while gradually expanding transatlantic frequency through 2014. Service starts with two weekly flights in July, increases to four weekly flights in August and six weekly flights in September, with daily service planned to begin in November.

Operations will launch with a single Boeing 757-200 finished in La Compagnie’s signature light blue livery and powered by Rolls-Royce engines. The aircraft features 74 lie-flat seats arranged in a 2-2 configuration, offering a comfortable, all-aisle-access cabin. Each passenger will have access to an individual Samsung Galaxy tablet loaded with movies, music, news and travel information.

Introductory round-trip fares are available for travel in July or August, priced at $1,378 per person or $2,014 for two passengers traveling together.

La Compagnie’s focus on a business-class-only experience and a straightforward nonstop route between New York and Paris aims to attract travelers who value privacy, comfort and a simplified travel experience. With the phased increase in frequencies and plans for daily flights later in the year, the airline positions itself as a convenient option for frequent transatlantic business travelers and leisure passengers seeking an elevated onboard experience.
