Air France Sponsors NYC France Run: Dates, Route & Registration

This week’s New York Road Runners France Run, primarily sponsored by Air France, takes place in Central Park and celebrates both the sport’s longstanding tradition and the historic ties between France and the United States. The sold-out five-mile race begins at 8:00 a.m., followed by a children’s run at 9:45 a.m. A concurrent French culture festival runs from 8:00 to 10:30 a.m., centered near the Naumburg Bandshell between 66th and 72nd Streets.

Although race entry is sold out, the festival is open to the public. Attendees can visit a variety of French vendors offering complimentary treats, refreshments and activities, along with educational exhibits highlighting French culture. Air France maintains a strong presence at the festival with tents offering face painting, a photo booth and complimentary massages for runners. Visitors who enroll in Flying Blue at the event will also be entered for a chance to win a trip to the Paris Marathon on April 9, 2017.

“Air France is delighted to once again be the lead partner of the France Run, a celebration of the athletic spirit and the close relationship that exists between France and the United States,” said Eric Caron, vice president and general manager of Air France in the United States. “Air France is proud of its legacy of supporting running, a global sport that brings people together through their shared dedication to pushing the limits of endurance and crossing the finish line.”
