Air China Launches New Direct Flights Between Beijing and Newark

Air China is expanding its presence on the busy China–United States route by adding flights between Beijing and Newark Liberty International Airport to meet growing demand for transpacific air travel.

Beginning October 26, the carrier will operate service between Beijing Capital International Airport and Newark four times per week. This new schedule makes Air China the only Chinese airline serving Newark, complementing the airline’s existing operations between Beijing and New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport, where it currently flies two times daily.

The addition of the Beijing–Newark link strengthens Air China’s New York-area network and provides travelers with more options for seamless connections. By offering flights to both JFK and Newark, the airline enhances flexibility for passengers traveling for business, tourism, or family visits, and supports increased cargo capacity between the two countries.

The four-times-weekly Beijing–Newark service is designed to align with market demand and seasonal travel patterns. Frequency and schedules may be adjusted as demand evolves, and the carrier will continue to monitor passenger trends to optimize capacity. Travelers should check with Air China for the most current timetable and booking availability.

Adding Newark to its U.S. route map also reflects broader aviation trends as airlines respond to post-pandemic recovery and stronger passenger traffic on long-haul routes. Expanding service to multiple New York-area airports allows Air China to better serve different traveler needs and capture more connecting traffic from the northeastern United States.

Passengers can expect the carrier to maintain its standards for inflight service on the new route, including seat options across cabins, onboard meals aligned with flight duration and class of service, and access to frequent flyer benefits for eligible members. As with any international service, travelers should verify visa and entry requirements, baggage rules, and any health-related travel advisories before departure.

In addition to passenger convenience, the new route offers logistical advantages for cargo transport. Multiple daily and weekly services to the New York metropolitan area support import and export flows, helping businesses that rely on timely air freight between China and the U.S. East Coast.

Air China’s expansion to Newark provides more choices for travelers and shippers, reinforces the airline’s commitment to the transpacific market, and improves connectivity between Beijing and the greater New York region. Prospective passengers are encouraged to monitor official Air China communications for booking details, fare information, and any operational updates related to the Beijing–Newark service.
