Aeroméxico Expands Route Network with New Domestic and International Flights

Aeromexico, Mexico’s largest international carrier, has expanded its route network with a new daily service connecting Mexico City (MEX) and Quito, Ecuador (UIO). The airline operates this route using Boeing 737-700 aircraft configured with 12 business class seats, 18 in Economy Plus and 94 in Economy, providing options for a range of travelers.

This new connection makes Aeromexico the only airline offering nonstop flights between Ecuador and Mexico, simplifying travel for business and leisure passengers. From Mexico City, travelers originating in Quito gain access to Aeromexico’s extensive global network of more than 80 destinations. That network includes 47 cities across Mexico, 17 destinations in the United States, three in Europe, two in Asia and one in Canada, enabling smooth onward connections and expanded travel choices.

Aeromexico’s daily Quito service supports growing demand for direct links between Ecuador and Mexico and enhances connectivity for trade, tourism and cultural exchange. Operating a narrow-body Boeing 737-700 on the route allows the airline to match capacity to current market needs while offering a consistent onboard experience across cabins.

Passengers flying this route can expect the typical Aeromexico onboard product and service, with options to choose a higher-comfort Economy Plus or Business Class seat. The schedule and aircraft type aim to provide frequent, reliable service for both point-to-point travelers and those connecting to broader international itineraries through Aeromexico’s Mexico City hub.

With this addition, Aeromexico reinforces its position as a leading carrier in the region and expands convenient nonstop options between Ecuador and North America. Ecuadorian passengers now have direct access to a wide-reaching network via Mexico City, making it simpler to reach destinations across Mexico, the United States, Europe and Asia.
