New Boutique Hotel Opens in Central London: Luxury & Local Charm

Morgans Hotel Group will open its first London property next month with the debut of Mondrian London at Sea Containers. Slated to welcome guests on Sept. 30, this is the first Mondrian boutique hotel outside the United States. It occupies a restored 1970s former office building on the revitalized South Bank, within easy walking distance of the Tate Modern and Borough Market.

The hotel features 359 guestrooms and suites, two bars, a restaurant and a spa. For meetings, events and group gatherings, Mondrian London offers more than 5,500 square feet of flexible, stylish event space, along with a 56-seat screening room ideal for private screenings and presentations. The design and programming aim to blend contemporary boutique sensibilities with the building’s distinctive retro character.

Morgans Hotel Group currently operates Mondrian hotels in New York, Los Angeles and South Beach, and the company has announced plans to expand the brand to Doha and Istanbul in the future. The London opening marks a significant step in building Mondrian’s international presence while bringing a new hospitality option to one of the city’s most dynamic riverside neighborhoods.
