American Express opens its newest Centurion Lounge today at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), marking the company’s 12th location and its largest yet. This arrival follows recent Centurion Lounge debuts in Phoenix (PHX) and Charlotte (CLT) and brings a distinctly Los Angeles-focused hospitality experience to travelers.
The LAX Centurion Lounge showcases locally inspired cuisine, signature cocktails, exclusive wellness offerings, curated artwork and an expanded footprint designed to provide comfort and convenience for guests traveling through one of the nation’s busiest airports.

Culinary programming at the LAX lounge is led by noted chef Nancy Silverton of the American Express Global Dining Collection. Her menu highlights fresh, seasonal ingredients and Los Angeles flavors, featuring items such as Mozza-style meatballs, roasted beets with horseradish vinaigrette, a farro salad with fresh herbs and feta, and other chef-driven plates designed for sharing or a light meal before a flight.

To complement the food selection, the lounge offers a complimentary full bar featuring premium wines handpicked by wine director Anthony Giglio and specialty cocktails crafted by Centurion Lounge mixologist Jim Meehan, all reflecting L.A.’s vibrant cocktail scene. Non-alcoholic options include locally roasted coffee from City Bean Roasters and a variety of curated soft beverages.
Wellness is a central theme of the LAX Centurion Lounge. The space introduces Sunrise and Moonrise tranquility rooms—exclusive features in Centurion Lounges—that use integrated light and sound to promote relaxation and help travelers reset between flights. In addition to these calming environments, the lounge provides spa-style services such as light therapy, Reiki and ear reflexology for guests seeking deeper relaxation or stress relief before boarding.
