Hilton Worldwide has announced the expansion of its luxury Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts brand with a new property planned for Amsterdam. The Waldorf Astoria Amsterdam is scheduled to open in March 2014 and will be situated on the prestigious Herengracht canal, roughly 25 minutes from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS).
The hotel will offer 93 guest rooms and suites, many with views of the canal or of the property’s courtyard garden, which is noted as the largest in the city. Guests will have a selection of dining options with two restaurants and a bar on site. The property will also include a full-service spa, an indoor swimming pool, a fitness center and comprehensive business facilities, including a business center, seven meeting rooms and a grand ballroom suitable for events and gatherings.
This addition to the Waldorf Astoria portfolio aims to combine historic Amsterdam charm with the brand’s signature luxury services and amenities, providing both leisure and business travelers with a refined base in the heart of the city.
